You can enquire with the photographer if he has worked on similar events before to ensure that he will be capable of handling the situation well. You can even demand client references on the quality of service of that photographer.

Lastly, you should try to familiarize yourself with the hired corporate photographer and let the photographer know your requirements in detail. This is important, because any lack of communication can prove to be costly. Such a conversation will also allow you to get a better idea of how competent the photographer is, and how comfortable he is likely to be at the event. There is nothing like a good conversation to put the photographer at ease, and this way you would also be able to build a good working rapport with your corporate photographer.
