Tiger's Disappointment to the Golf World

Y.E. Yang shocked the world and probably himself by beating the world's best golfer, and maybe the greatest golfer of all time, Tiger Woods, by coming back from 2 strokes down Sunday to win the PGA Championship. Yang is the first Asian player to win a Major, the first player to beat Tiger Woods when Woods was tied or all alone in the lead after 54 holes of golf. Golf enthusiasts cheered, David took down Goliath, 12 never struck for Cinderella, No. 110 took down No. 1.

While fans were excited by the turn of events today, this really can't be good for golf. The PGA can't be happy about this, nor could any of Tiger's major endorsers. Without a major in 2009, people are beginning to write off Tiger Woods, thinking that he may very well be past his prime.

Woods is by no means past his prime. After returning from an injury that ended his 2008 campaign, Woods has bounced back with wins at five tournaments. Some of these involved some vintage Woods Sunday comebacks. Unfortunately, the majors are far more watched than the other tournaments, so the typical sports fan doesn't realize that all's not lost in Tiger's corner.

While everyone loves to talk about Yang and what he did today, this was a crippling blow to the PGA in 2009. There were simply no exciting stories that capped off the year of majors. Tom Watson nearly became the oldest golfer (by far) to ever win a major, before losing it on the final day. Woods went the entire year without a major, virtually unheard of during his career.

This one is another story in its own though. Yang is very unlikely to win another tournament of this scope, and will probably fade right back into obscurity. And for the time being, Woods' pursuit of Jack Nicklaus' record is in doubt.

While there are a few more months of golf left, there are no majors, and only serious golf enthusiasts will track these events. Fringe fans will go back to watching other sports, and will be far from enthused about the 2010 golf season.

Golf needs Tiger Woods just as much as he needs more majors. Tiger has given a face to golf, a sport that's sorely lacked one for so many years. Tiger is golf's Michael Jordan, and needs to return to this status in 2010.

Here's to hoping that 2010 brings us a Tiger resurgence, and most notably, a major or two. The sport really needs it.

Learn about their personality, as it will help you portray the subject in the right perspective. Concentrate on the eyes of your subject, as they will reflect all that goes into making your subject. Experiment with your subject by asking them to look at the objects in different directions but in such a way that your lens could capture the face wholly.

Here are some tips that may prove to be handy while taking portrait photographs. First thing, set up an area convenient for taking pictures. See if it is ideally lighted. Position your subject in a way that's comfortable and not distracting. Continue with your friendly and try to understand your subject's personality.

Besides, while taking portraits make sure to click in series of shots. One or two shots might miss the golden moments. If you are going to use a digital camera, it's easier to select the image for final prints, but with conventional camera that uses films you have to print it to see before selecting the keepsake portrait.

The art of the portrait today is flourishing as it has become simple and inexpensive. There are different styles and techniques being used for portraits. Choose one and express your style through your very own masterpiece.

Extending Your Summer with a Caribbean Cruise Vacation

It is hard to believe that August is already here and will be gone before you know it. What that usually means is a sad face as the summer has slipped away and a full winter of work lies ahead. Not so fast my friend, save one of those weeks of vacation that you still have and extend your summer with a Caribbean Cruise Vacation.

There is no arguing the fact that most people are much happier in the summertime. Everyone is more pleasant, we get to go the beach or head out at the pool. When wintertime rolls around, things just seem to change. Instead of getting depressed as the summer drifts away, plan a Caribbean Cruise Vacation and give yourself something to get excited about this winter.

The Western Caribbean will present you with a lot of options and it has become very popular over the years. The ports of Jamaica, Cozumel, Mexico, Grand Cayman and Princess Cays are all part of this swing. While ships will leave from various ports, Miami and Ft. Lauderdale will probably give you the most options. Some of the activities enjoyed in this area are scuba diving (the Caymans in particular), snorkeling and hiking.

The Eastern Caribbean also has plenty of excellent ports. Some of the destinations here are worthy of longer stays so you may want to look into a destination cruise instead of a multi-port cruise. Puerto Rico, St. Thomas and St. Marteen have some of the best beaches in the Caribbean. Other activities to enjoy are rock climbing, exploring the rainforest and lots of great shopping.

Maybe you have been on one of the busier cruises before and would prefer something that goes somewhere more remote so you can truly unwind from your busy life. If that is the case, you can find no better place that the South Caribbean. It is just as beautiful as any of the other areas, but it is just a bit more remote and less crowded.

Once you know where you want to go, the next decision you will have to make is how long of a vacation that you are going to take. There are cruises ranging anywhere from 3 " 8 days or more. If you really want to keep the summer going, split that vacation week up and take a couple of long weekends.

Even if you do decide to break up your days, make sure at some point that you do take one of the longer Caribbean Cruise Vacations. For most people, 4 days is just not enough time to enjoy everything that his part of the world has to offer. Beautiful islands, incredible food and some of the best scenery in the world is something that you can never get tired of.

When you want to extend that summer, you need to seriously consider going on a Caribbean Cruise Vacation. In all honesty, they cost nothing more than a week at the shore would cost you and you are getting so much more for your money. Do something different this year and take a cruise to the Caribbean!
