A Few Short Full Length Film Reviews

By Gabrielle Good

In the past you had to go to a store if you wanted to rent or buy a movie. The next generation it seems will be getting their movies from movie downloads, avoiding any trips to the store. You can get virtually any movie you want with a good movie download site. Here are some examples.

Deliver Us From Evil: Strong documentary juxtapose includes interviews with Dad Oliver O'Grady a pedophile whom leaders of the Catholic temple persistently guarded with first-individual story and some of big sufferers. Well-timed film abandons narration; as an alternative, its interviewees color a flashy image of corruption in a temple that looked the other way when O'Grady was moved to few variant parishes, where he proceeded carrying out his dishonest acts. Intriguing and expertly made, however perplexing to watch (101 minutes, 2006)

The Passion Of Christ: This movie deals with the day of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Betray by Judas he has been arrested, and taken to the leaders of Pharisees. It is the Roman Governor Pilate who ultimately decides his fate. He gives the Jews one last chance to choose to save Jesus, instead they choose to free Barrabas, a true criminal, and Jesus will now be crucified.

Awakenings: Is based on the true story of Dr Sacks (Malcolm Sayer) in the movie. In 1969 he discovers L-Dopa and applies it to encephalitis patients, who had been catatonic for years and years. HE awakens these catatonic people and it is like a time warp to the future for these people.

The Heartbreak Kid: Eligible San Francisco bachelor Stiller manages to meet attractive blonde fantasy gal Akerman and in no time flat gets wedded. Only on their honeymoon to Mexico does he find that she's the newlywed from hell when striking up a hot relation with an American tourist Monaghan staying at the identical hotel. Cast includes Bobby Farrelly, Peter Farrelly, Ben Stiller, Malin Akerman, Michelle Monaghan, Polly Holliday, and Leslie Easterbrook, Eva Longoria. (116 minutes, 2007)

Factory Girl: Dismal, real tale of 1960s socialite Edie Sedgwick Miller and her self-damaging corkscrew into depravity and medication dependency after becoming one of Andy Warhol's underground-film "megastars." Christensen plays a renowned musician who looks, acts, and noises suspiciously like Bob Dylan, with whom she has a stormy event. Cast includes Sienna Miller, Gentleman Pearce, Hayden Christensen, Jimmy Fallon, Jack Huston, and Shawn Hatosy. (90 minutes, 2006)

Sour Grapes: Bierko hits a $400,000 slot machine jackpot at a casino; Weber, his physician blood brother, imagines he's owed half the loot because he loaned him the mandatory quarters. Infrequently extremely ludicrous, the film is sabotaged by overemphatic "comedy" performing, unsympathetic characters, and a sitcom approach. Writer-director David co-created Seinfeld, which clarifies both the excellent and the poor stuff here. Cast includes Steven Weber, Craig Bierko, Matt Keeslar, Karen Sillas, Robyn Peterman, Viola Harris, and Jennifer Leigh Warren. (92 minutes, 1998)

The Hindenburg: Enthralling premise, that 1937 airship catastrophe was an act of undermine, un-denied by stupid Grand Hotel-type characters and dull denouement combining primordial newsreel footage and recently shot material. This made particular Oscars for its graphic and noise outcomes. S Cast includes were amalgamated to film for network showing. Cast includes George C. Scott, Anne Bancroft, William Atherton, Roy Thinnes, Concert Youthful, Rene AubeIjonois, and Katherine Helmond. (125 minutes, 1975)

Hook: Unlucky cheapening of the cherished James Barrie story of Peter Pan, with Williams as a heartless business takeover honcho who should rediscover his real identity as Panin requests to spare his kids, who've been abducted by Commander Hook. Incredible projecting in key roles is scattered by a script that offers no delight, and extremely little witchcraft-with a troupe of Television -generation Lost Boys who'd be more at home in a McDonald's for profit . Musician David Crosby and an unrecognizable Glenn Close have tad parts as pirates. If this is Peter Pan for the '90s, gave us the '50s as an alternative. Cast includes Dustin Hoffman, Robin Williams, Julia Roberts, Bob Hoskins, Maggie Smith, Caroline Goodall, and Gwyneth Paltrow. (144 minutes, 1991)

The Thomas Crown Affair: Thomas Crown is a billionaire. He has an interesting hobby. When a priceless Monet is stolen, who would suspect the wealth Crown? Investigator Catherine Banning is hot on his trail, and Crown is truly relishing the cat and mouse games that ensue.
