Take a ride down to the sporting goods store and look for all of the equipment that you will need. The most important piece of merchandise you will need is a rod. There will likely be several different styles to choose from and each one will serve its own function. There are sales people on hand to help you out with all your questions, and make sure that you remember to pick up some flies.

After picking out the a rod to your liking make sure that you get some instructions to guide you through the assembly process. It is really quite simple and the store personnel will take you through the whole thing if you need them to.

After you have your rod all together you have to get the fly lines through each guide. Take care not to miss any of the guides or your cast will not be the quality that it should be.

There will be two flies that need to be attached. Put on the first one and then tie the second where you want it to go. Be sure to use a very tight know when attaching your flies so that the fish doesn't take off with one of them.

Once you are finished setting up all of your equipment then you are ready to begin your adventure. The best place to fly fish is a river or maybe even a stream. Wade into it a little bit and cast your line as far as it can go so that you are assured to get some really great fish.
