Man in The Attic - flavorful account of ill-famed Jack the Ripper, with Palance going full-blast. Remake of The Lodger. Company includes Jack Palance, Constance Smith, Byron Palmer, Frances Bavier, Rhys Williams, Sean McClory, Isabel Jewell, and Leslie Bradley. (82 minutes, 1954)

Down Argentine Way - Entertaining 20th Century Fox musical with Grable in the film that increased her to celebrity falling in love with slick Argentinean horse breeder Ameche. Miranda is magnificent in her first American motion picture, acting infectious Brazilian music with her own band and look out for the Nicholas Brothers, who do a dynamite forte number. Picture postcard color all the way through. Cast includes Don Ameche, Betty Grable, Carmen Miranda, Charlotte Wood, Carrol Naish, Henry Stephenson, and Leonid Kinskey. (90 minutes, 1940)

The Hex - Performer Keith steps behind the camcorder to direct this down-home terror film. A lethal meteorite lands on a Tennessee farm, genuinely driving the people insane after contaminating their food. Cast includes Will Wheaton, Claude Akins, Cooper Huckabee, John Schneider, and Amy Wheaton. (90 minutes, 1987)

They Only Kill Their Masters - Extraordinary cast in difficult modem-night mystery set in coastal California town; tries for Daniel Hammett sensation, doesn't relatively make it. Policeman Garner attempts to resolve slaughter of pregnant woman, with fearsome Doberman pinscher figuring significantly. Not bad, yet a disappointment. Cast includes James Garner, Katharine Ross, Hal Holbrook, Harry Guardino, June Allyson, Peter Lawford, and Ann Rutherford. (97 minutes, 1972)

Mr. Baseball - Jack Elliot was one of baseball's true superstars. He has seen his best days, and the Yankees have the next superstar waiting in the wings. They make the decision, and trade their former star away. To make things worse, they trade him to Japan.
