Famous Roulette Players

By Ralph Pritchard

Today Im going to speak about famous roulette players. Ever since the creation of the game people have tried to beat the game and very few have succeeded. This is because the casino has an edge which is impossible to beat built into the layout of the game.

Therefore, when someone does manage to win big, they become very well known in the gaming industry, as it is a very rare occurrence.

The key is to exploit the roulette wheels bias " study a roulette wheel for long periods of time, realise which numbers come up the most and bet on them.

The most well known famous roulette player is Joseph Jagger. He became famous for winning a six figure sum; a huge amount considering that it was the year 1873 when he won. This was at the Monte Carlo casino, and he won by applying the system described above.

Another famous player is Charles Wells. Just a few years after Jagger he visited the same casino and applied the exact same system and he also walked away with a huge sum of money. It is amazing that the same casino got taken by the same system twice.

If you have seen the recent TV program, Breaking Vegas, the Roulette Assault, you will already know about the next famous roulette player. In 1990, Gonzalo Garcia-Pedayo again used the same system at a casino in Madrid, Spain and was very successful.

With the help of his family they moved all over Europe and then onto Las Vegas applying the same system. Gonzalo eventually gave it up in 1994 when he started suffering health problems due to the constant stress he was under to continue winning while staying under the radar of the casino pit bosses.

Perhaps the luckiest of all famous roulette players is Ashley Revell. He walked into a casino and put his entire life savings of over $100,000 on red. Fortunately for him, red came up and he doubled his money, this was an insane thing to do though, there was just as much chance that black would have come up, then his entire life savings would have been lost on a single bet.
